Howto view passwords for WIFI networks in Windows 10

If you ever need to lookup the password of a WIFI network that you are not connected right now, you can use the following commands:

1. On your keyboard press [Windows key] + [R]

2. type: CMD and click [OK]

Open windows command prompt

3. Type: netsh wlan show profile and press [enter]

This will show you an overview of all the WIFI SSID’s present on your machine.

4. now type: netsh wlan show profile name=”wizZa Public" key=clear and press [enter]

Replace “wizZa Public” with the actual network that you need the password for. The WIFI password will be shown plain text under “key content”
